On behalf of the entire community, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to our web page.
This is a historically significant little valley, nestled between the Snake River on the north and the Utah/Nevada border on the south. From the lookout station atop Mt. Harrison, you can look over several counties, the Minidoka Dam, and parts of the Snake River Plain. Because of it's geographical location, it's natural beauty, good grass and water, Albion attracted many of the early settlers going west, and has been instrumental in the development of south central Idaho.
Over the years, this community has continued to exist because of the strength and determination of it's people. As we enter the 21st century, we see a great potential for the valley as we continue to develop and share a large array of activities that focus on attractions such as; Albion the first County Seat for Cassia County (1879-1919); Albion State Normal School Campus (1893-1951); Mount Harrison/Lake Cleveland Recreation Area; Pomerelle Ski Resort; The City of Rocks Backcountry Byway that starts in Albion; and the other business, recreation and tourism opportunities that exist here. Our goal is to provide modern, comfortable, and economically priced accommodations for those who visit and travel through our community.
We hope you will visit us as you travel through the beautiful State of Idaho.
